1. Booking Terms and Conditions
By making a booking, the first named person on the booking agrees on behalf of all persons detailedon the booking that:
a. He or she has read the booking conditions and has the authority to, and does agree to be bound by them.
b. He or She is over 18 years of age and where placing an order for services with age restrictions declared that he/she and all members of the party are of the appropriate
age to purchase those services.
c. He/She accepts financial responsibility for payment of the booking on behalf of all persons detailed on the booking.
2. Booking and Paying for the chalet.
A booking is made with us when the deposit is paid for the chalet (or the full amount within 10 weeks of departure), and we issue you with a booking confirmation. Please notify us immediately if you think that any of the booking details are incorrect.
Deposit – 20% of the weekly cost, due on booking
Balance Due – 10 weeks before departure
3. Prices
We reserve the right to change advertised prices on the website from time to time
4. Insurance
Adequate travel insurance is a condition of your contract with us. If you choose to fly without adequate travel insurance, we will not be liable for any losses however incurred, in respect of which insurance would otherwise have been available.
Events Beyond our Control - We will not be liable to pay compensation if our contractual obligations to you are affected by Events Beyond our Control. This might include such acts as Terrorism, warfare, floods and earthquakes and weather conditions, or a unavoidable technical problems with transport and all similar events. For COVID related matters, insurance should now be taken out to cover this eventuality.
5. Accommodation
The Chalet will be available from 4pm on the agreed arrival date, until 10 am on the date of departure. The chalet is sold for a maximum of 10 people, and any additional guests will be asked to leave immediately. We will not pay any costs incurred for anyone who is asked to leave the chalet. A security deposit of €400 will be charged (refundable at the end of the stay within 14 days by Chalet du Guide in a return bank transfer), if there are no breakages and the property is left in an acceptable state ready for cleaning post your stay. We reserve the right to use this deposit to payfor replacement items, if there are breakages or extra cleaning is required because of the state of the property. Our in-resort team will carry out a thorough check of the property before and after your stay, but should there be any broken items on arrival please photograph them. Excessive noise in the property after 10pm and before 7am will be considered to be anti-social behaviour, and we reserve the right to terminate your contract immediately in the event of this happening.
6. Suppliers
Any contracts entered into for further services purchased with 3rd party suppliers, are the responsibility of the client and Chalet Du Guide will have no liability in connection with those services, beyond the initial introduction.
7. Disabilities.
We will endeavour to cater for the needs of all clients who book Chalet du Guide, but we should advise that given the property has 2 staircases it may not be suitable for all clients, and we would ask you to take this into account when making your booking.
8. Visa, Passport and Health Requirements
It is your responsibility to check and fulfil the passport and Visa regulations, along with Health and Immigration requirements. Particular care should be taken over this post our Exit from the EU, as many of the rules have changed. We cannot accept any responsibility for your travel arrangements and documentation difficulties that may arise. Should you incur any fines for failure to comply with French Regulations which may fall to Chalet Du Guide, you will agree to reimburse us.
9. Cancellations
Since we incur costs in cancelling your arrangements, the following charges will be made.
More than 10 weeks prior to departure – Loss of Deposit
Less than 10 weeks prior to departure – Loss of full cost of the Chalet
10. COVID 19
Insurance for COVID is a condition of travel as mentioned in Para 4. Your insurance should include cover for the following reasons, and we will not re-imburse individuals
• You catching COVID pre departure and no longer able to travel,
• Where you have been in contact with someone testing positive,
• Or if you have been contacted by NHS Test and Trace telling you to self-isolate, whilst this service continues to exist,
• Should quarantine restrictions on arrival in UK from other countries be re-imposed,
• You are diagnosed with COVID during your holiday,
• A change in UK and French Authority regulations preventing travel prior to your departure.
